Once the visitor clicks through to a merchants website, he or she may find products they wish to purchase. Once the consumer purchases a product, the merchant, through computer brilliance called tracking, knows who the referring website is, and pays the referer,(you)a commission. Presto! Commissions are paid by the Affiliate Networks. When you sign up with Affiliate Networks, you can choose how you want to be paid. e.g Accumulate cheques until they reach a certain value, or pay monthly. Some Networks will not pay under a certain limit of $50 or $500. The latter is rare.
